ARE YOU U.L.?

Connectronics is a U.L. listed manufacturer, which means we can provide UL labeled products to our customers. All items used in a cable assembly can be traced to the original manufacturer and will show the U. L. rating.

HARNESS TESTING

Multiple terminations on complex harness assemblies can be difficult to test. Correct pin-to-pin placement, isolation and other parameters can make for a lengthy testing process. To insure accuracy and repeatability, an automated harness tester is a must. Connectronics uses several of these through the assembly process to insure that you get exactly what you are expecting.

WELCOME to the inaugural edition of Connectronics’ Newsletter! In an ongoing effort to help our business partners, Connectronics will be providing helpful information on cable assembly and breaking industry information on new items you may want to incorporate into your next cable requirement. These will be issued on a quarterly basis and we welcome any feedback or ideas you may have. As a provider of premium cable and harness assemblies for 30 years, Connectronics can help with your most challenging demands!

WHERE DO YOU GO FOR HELP WITH MEASURING CABLE LENGTH?

Determining cable length, especially when tight tolerances are involved, can be very confusing unless you are using the WHMA (Wire Harness Manufacturer’s Association) guide for length measurement. Section 11 shows the correct reference location for various connectors. Circular connectors or quick connects for example, are measured at the end of the connector. Ring lugs would be measured from the center of the ring. Flying leads? Even tolerances are provided when none are specified on a drawing! For more detailed guidance check out section 11 in the IPC/WHMA A-620 guide for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies. Don’t have one? Contact Connectronics and we can order one for you!
